Rails for Rentals - Investment Instruments Success Story

We can’t say it enough – our customers are doing some terrific work with Ruby on Rails – developing valuable web applications that perform simply and beautifully. Investment Instruments builds Web-based tools and services for the residential real estate market. Today they have two sites: Rentometer, a tool that lets tenants compare rents in their and other neighborhoods, and Rentomatic, an online network for landlords and tenants. Through the tools provided on the site, Rentomatic creates happier landlords and happier tenants.

In this podcast, Jeffrey Krause, CTO and co-Founder of Investment Instruments discusses how Ruby on Rails has helped the company develop their applications faster than they could with other languages, and how they use FiveRuns Manage to gain visibility into the performance of their systems and debug bottlenecks before and as they occur.
